G2LD collaborated with Studio Red Architects on the renovation of the 3,400 square foot Southwest Presbyterian Church in the heart of Bellaire, Texas. The scope included not only new finishes and lighting for the sanctuary, but also a new entry vestibule addition. During the design phase, the client emphasized the need to highlight the beauty of existing pitched roof structure and the new pitched roof at the entry. These beautiful structures are located at the key spaces of the church – the new long, accentuated entrance and the intimate sanctuary. G2LD specified linear cove uplights in these spaces to provide visual centerpieces for the key moments of worship. These highlights allow for a big impact within a small worship space.
